Ingredients
Scale
4 cups All-purpose flour
1 cup Granulated sugar
2 tablespoons Cinnamon
1/2 cup Butter
2 1/4 teaspoons Yeast (1 packet)
1 cup Milk
1 large Egg
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it activate for about 5 minutes until frothy. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add melted butter, egg, and the yeast mixture, then knead until the dough is smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon for the filling. Set aside.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread butter over the dough and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly across the top.
Roll the dough tightly from the longer side to form a log. Cut into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
Cover the dish with a towel and let the rolls rise again for about 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before frosting.
Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls and add optional edible ‘spiders’ for a creepy touch.
