  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch!)

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 package ranch dressing mix

  • Instructions

  • Wipe the mushrooms clean with a damp cloth and set aside.
  • Set up your breading station with three bowls: Combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in the first bowl; whisk eggs in the second; and place breadcrumbs in the third.
  • Dip each mushroom into the flour mixture, then into the egg wash, and finish with a coating of breadcrumbs.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the mushrooms in a single layer for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • In a bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, and ranch dressing mix until well combined to make the Cool Ranch Dip.
