Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb flank steak, sliced into thin strips
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare your steak: If your flank steak is still a bit tough from the fridge, give it a gentle pound with a mallet or rolling pin.
- Sauté the veggies: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Toss in those onions and bell peppers, sautéing for about 3-4 minutes until they’re just tender.
- Cook the steak: Add the sliced flank steak to the pan. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until your meat is browned.
- Add the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, minced garlic, and cornstarch. Pour this over the steak and veggies. Stir and simmer for another minute or two.
- Serve and enjoy: Spoon over a bed of fluffy rice or noodles.
