4–5 lbs beef brisket
1 cup beef broth
2 cups BBQ sauce (your favorite brand works wonders)
1 onion, sliced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
First, season your brisket generously with salt, pepper, brown sugar, smoked paprika, and chili powder. Don’t be shy—get in there and really rub those spices in!
In your slow cooker, layer the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom.
Place the brisket, fat side up, right on top of the onions.
Pour the beef broth and half of your BBQ sauce over the brisket. Reserve the other half for serving later.
Cover the slow cooker and set it to low for 8-10 hours or high for 5-6 hours.
Once it’s done, remove the brisket and let it rest for about 15-20 minutes before slicing.
Serve it up with that remaining BBQ sauce drizzled on top.
